Commissioner Johansson in Australia to strengthen cooperation on security and fighting child sexual abuse
Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration, Ylva Johansson, was in Australia this week, from 18 to 21 March, to strengthen the ongoing EU-Australia collaboration on security matters.
She met with Australia’s Minister for Home Affairs, Claire O’Neil, to discuss violent extremism and terrorism, including online radicalisation, amongst other topics, and with eSafety Commissioner, Julie Inman Grant, to discuss common priorities and ongoing legislative efforts to prevent and combat child sexual abuse.
The global fight against child sexual abuse, as well as organised crime and drug trafficking, were also discussed with the Attorney General.
