How to immigrate to Newfoundland and Labrador?

This program is for experienced and highly educated workers whose occupation is in-demand in Newfoundland and Labrador and who wants to work and live in NL permanently.

How to apply?

First, you will need to submit your expression of interest. If you were successful and received an invitation, you will be asked to submit a complete immigration application through NL’s online portal. If you meet the eligibility criteria in either the Skilled Worker or Express Entry Skilled Worker category, you will be issued a provincial nomination certificate which you can use in your permanent residence application to IRCC.

Pass scoreMust get a minimum of 60 points.
LanguageMust have CLB 5 or higher in English.
ExperienceFor In-Demand Work Path: Must have 1-year work experience in the past 10 years in highly specialized, highly-skilled, and specific in-demand occupations in healthcare, information, and communication technology sectors, or in in-demand aquaculture sector occupations. This list is available on the NL website.
Job OfferA job offer is NOT required.                                                      
EducationFor In-Demand Academic Path: Must have completed a Ph.D. or master’s degree from Memorial University within the last 3 years in these specific specialties: Technology, Healthcare, Aquaculture, and Agriculture.
OthersAge: must be 21 years old or over.
