How to immigrate to Alberta?
International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream (IGEIS)

This program is for international graduates of Alberta post-secondary educations who want to establish or operate a business in Alberta; to apply and become permanent residents.
How to apply?
Submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) online through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) Portal. The highest-ranking candidates will be requested to submit a Business Application. If your application was successful, only then you should establish your business in Alberta.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Provincial Profile/Point System IGEIS (International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream) Points Grid. Language Must have CLB/NCLC 7 in English or French. Experience Must have a minimum of 6 months experience in business management or running your own business, or equivalent experiences such as experience with a business incubator, business accelerator or successful completion of entrepreneurship program courses. Must have a post-graduation work permit valid for at least 2 more years at the time of the Expression of Interest EOI submission. Education Must have at least 2 years diploma or a degree program that is eligible for a post-graduation work permit. Current Residence/Status Post-graduate work permit with 2 years validity. Ineligible applicants Out of status foreign nationals, refugee claimants, in appeal or removal process, non-Alberta residents. Others Networth: N. A Investment: N.A Business Establishment: Must create a new business or buy an existing one, which requires active management (passive investment is not allowed), securing a minimum of 34% ownership. It must not be one of the ineligible businesses. Factors that increase your chances: age (21 to 49 years), economic benefits to Alberta, spouse factors such as experience, education or language skills, or relatives in Alberta.
